How we use the satellite record.

The Public Ledger derives from Copernicus Sentinel-1 InSAR, Sentinel-2 multispectral, Landsat thermal imagery, NASA MODIS and VIIRS thermal anomaly products, and TROPOMI atmospheric sensors. All data is publicly accessible from the EU Copernicus program and US NASA EOSDIS. We add analysis, not data.
Observation, not allegation
Each card records a physical signal — measurable change detectable from orbit. It is not a statement of wrongdoing. The satellite record cannot determine intent, causation, or operator practice. Operators remain responsible for explaining what an observed signal represents on the ground.
Operator response
Site operators who believe an observation is inaccurate or requires context can submit a documented response to ledger@rondotrace.com. Verified responses appear on the relevant card. We update the public record as new evidence arrives.
